The Prayer Child Foundation was born out of Gold Canyon Candles desire to give back to our communities. While the owners of Gold Canyon were laying the foundation for what we now know of as Gold Canyon International, LLC., they made a commitment that if they ever reached a level of success, that they would in turn give back. Through the Prayer Child Foundation, Curt and Karen Waiseth have made good on their commitment. Gold Canyon Candles has a distinct line of candles called "Candles for Kids". Fragrances in this line of candles range from Sliced Watermelon to Chocolate Milk. (Some fragrances are no longer available, but may return in future catalogs) For each candle sold in the Candles for Kids lineup, Gold Canyon donates the profit to the Prayer Child Foundation.
On a personal note, we had the privileged of nominating a family we know. Shortly after our nomination, the family received a check in the mail for $1,000! While this did not come close to covering their medical bills, it did came at the right time for them. There are countless other stories of how the Prayer Child Foundation has helped children in need
We are dedicated to this foundation. It is our goal to sell six Prayer Child Foundation candles a month, and if we do not reach our goal, we will purchase the candles ourselves. We invite you to enjoy the fun fragrances in this lineup, and also know that your purchase will help a child in need!
